Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Dracobella ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the Selah mobile application ("Selah", the "App"). We designed Selah to be privacy-first: we do not require you to create an account, and your personal reflections stay on your device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, contacts, photos, precise location, or any other directly identifying information. Selah does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account (which we cannot access):

• Saved affirmations, prayers, and journal entries
• Your onboarding answers (goals, topics) used only to personalize your affirmations
• App preferences (language, font, notifications, reminders)

3. Information Sent to Third-Party Services

To deliver the App's features, certain data is sent to the following third parties:

• OpenAI — when you request an affirmation or prayer, your selected topics and optional text prompt are sent to OpenAI via our server to generate the response. No identifying information is attached.
• Bible APIs (bible.helloao.org) — when you open the Bible reader, requests for specific books, chapters, or translations are sent to the selected provider.
• Apple (StoreKit, iCloud) — purchases and optional sync are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
• PostHog (analytics) — anonymous usage events (e.g., a button was tapped, a feature was opened) are sent to PostHog to help us improve the App. These events are not linked to your identity and are not used to track you across other apps. Analytics is disabled entirely in development builds.

4. Data Apple Requires Us to Disclose

Consistent with our App Privacy disclosures in the App Store, Selah may collect the following not linked to your identity, used only for analytics and never for tracking:

• Device Identifier (anonymous, provided by the analytics SDK)
• Product Interaction (which screens and features are used)
• Search History within the App (e.g., Bible searches, library filters)
• Purchase History for Selah+ (whether a user has unlocked premium)

5. Children

Selah is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Because we do not hold personal information about you on our servers, there is typically no data for us to access, correct, or delete. To delete content stored on your device, delete the App or clear its data in your device settings. To delete iCloud backups, use iCloud settings on your device. To stop analytics events from this device, you can delete the App or contact us for opt-out assistance.

Residents of the EU/EEA, United Kingdom, California, and other regions with similar laws have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information. Contact contact@dracobella.com.

7. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics events are retained by PostHog for up to 12 months. OpenAI processes your prompt to generate a response and does not use Selah content to train its models, consistent with its API data usage policy. Data on your device is retained until you delete it.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS for all network requests and Apple's on-device security features. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. International Users

Selah is operated from the United States. If you use the App outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of data to the United States and to the third-party services listed above, which may operate globally.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated through the App or at this URL.
